Launching Audubon at Home Blog

Welcome to the Audubon Society of Northern Virginia's Audubon at Home blog!

Make space for wildlife!
We hope that you will find this blog to be a useful exchange for ideas, tips, techniques, and strategies for creating native habitat at home. We also hope that you will share your experiences, wildlife observations, epiphanies, joys...and frustrations as you develop wildlife habitat in your favorite space. We invite our Audubon at Home Ambassadors and Wildlife Sanctuary Program participants to send in items, including photos, for posting. Of course, anyone is invited to visit the blog and comment (appropriate comments only, please).

If you are not a part of our Audubon at Home community and want to learn more, please visit the Audubon Society of Northern Virginia  website at www.audubonva.org and click on Audubon at Home.  While you're there, be sure to check out our Wildlife Sanctuary Program. We'll help you get started on creating a certified Wildlife Sanctuary at your home, school, or other property you own or manage in Northern Virginia.

We'll also use the blog to pass on useful and interesting information about habitat gardening and the wildlife that uses it, relevant classes, workshops, and presentations in the region, and updates about the Audubon at Home program in Northern Virginia.

We look forward to hearing from you!
